And then there were three…
The Adventures of Trinket, Abigail Bean and Zoe
B&B Summertime Specialty
Beef flavored Frosty Paws served on the back patio. Beanie-Baby licked the bowl so hard that it flew down the steps. She’s full-member of the clean-platers club. Probably because she’d starved down to 1.5 pounds before we rescued her. At five pounds, she’s never met a meal she didn’t like.
Update – Pom B&B
Guest Poms bathed. Don’t know why NitNit smelled, but witnessed Kimbykoo rolling in something underneath the tree. I commanded her to stop, to no avail. After all, how do you stop a plummeting roller-coaster once it’s perched at the top?
Dr. Peacock – My Hero
Spent a good portion of the day with Vet Dr. Peacock. He talks to the animals, and he removes staples (12 of them) from the delicate flesh of Pomeranian patients. Love his name. Grateful for his skill. Trinket is ready to roll…I hope.
Houdini-dog
While deep in thought at my writing desk, I feel a presence. Glancing down, I see her big, imploring eyes. Miss Nittany, the Pomeranian Contortionist, has weaseled her way through a tiny gap in the sun room fence to come ask me for a snuggle. How can I resist? Day two of dog-sitting. Not sure who’s getting spoiled in this arrangement.
Pom B&B
And now we have five. Baby-sitting my daughter’s two, and between Trinket and her babies, the medicine schedule is off the charts! But the cuddles make up for all the required doctoring.
Hospital Henderson
Trinket is home, but the hair cut is pretty bad. Besides the leg, Dr. Peacock took a major swath across her back for the pain patch. Will take a year to grow out. Glad she’s past her 3 yr old prime coat.
Surgery Day
“Little Priss” Trinkie is doing well, but the tech informed me she’s not eating. Well, duh. She’s the anorexic Pom who only eats when someone hand feeds her. Can’t they see the ‘drama queen’ in her eyes?
The General is Wounded
Trinket sustained a ‘catastrophic’ muscle injury to her left leg in a freak accident. She was the only one of my Poms to have perfect confirmation and her quick gait always amused me. Well, no more. Just glad her leg can be saved. Surgery in one week.
